Southampton office development reaches full occupation following major refurbishment

2 Charlotte Place, an office development in Southampton, is fully occupied for the first time in its history following Kingsbridge Estates’ refurbishment of the building

The transformation of the office, which included a new glazed reception area and sustainability improvements that raised the building’s EPC rating from C to B, attracted a string of tenants.

Asset manager at Kingsbridge Estates’ Rachel Lacklison said:

“Our work at 2 Charlotte Place is a prime example of our commitment to creating exciting and dynamic spaces. Having recognized the huge potential of the building, our significant investment proved instrumental in bringing high calibre businesses into the heart of Southampton.’’

ERM, a sustainability consultancy who partners with organizations to help them create solutions to sustainability challenges, have moved into the fifth floor of 2 Charlotte Place following the refurbishment.

This moves sees ERM joining the likes of Utmost Wealth Management, law firm Hugh James, infrastructure consultants AECOM, and streaming solutions business MediaKind.

Financial advisors Realest and Vail Williams acted as agents for Kingsbridge Estates. Realest advised during the ERM deal.

Director at Realest Steve Williams said:

''We have been delighted to work with Kingsbridge Estates on this exciting project. Our subsequent appointment as joint letting agent has enabled a close collaborative working relationship across our internal business lines but also with our client and our joint agents.

''2 Charlotte Place is a perfect example of what can be achieved when a landlord is willing to invest and adapt to market conditions.''
