Answering your questions about high rise safety
Our Building Safety Team, in partnership with Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service, will be visiting high-rise flats over the coming months to meet with residents, listen to concerns, and offer support on building safety matters. The first information event will take place in Hampton Towers on 11 June between 12 noon and 3pm in the Warden's Office. Check out our next issue for more details about the schedule, and what to expect at each event.
Help and advice for school leavers

Taking place on 5 June at Solent University, the free event will include 50 exhibitors covering a wide range of opportunities open to you.
Find out more about college, apprenticeships, work experience, special educational needs, personal development and aspirations. Sign up to come along to the Your Future Opportunities Fair and discover a route to an exciting future.
Don’t forget to compete the surveys
There are two important surveys currently being undertaken amongst tenants and leaseholders by market research company Acuity. Your input in both is crucial.
If you receive a call or email to participate in the Tenant Satisfaction Measures survey, please take part and tell us your views on the Housing service.
We are also conducting a customer household survey to check the information we have about our tenants is up to date. It is important everyone completes this survey to ensure we deliver the right services to you and plan effectively for the future.
The Junior Neighbourhood Wardens get the Hollywood treatment
Working with film students from Southampton Solent University, the Junior Neighbourhood Wardens got the silver screen treatment with the release of a new promotional video. The students attended several Junior Wardens activity events and interviewed some of our fantastic young volunteers. Make sure to check out the film on the council’s YouTube channel.
The Junior Neighbourhood Wardens programme empowers young people aged 7-13 across the city. It helps them learn new skills, make new friends, and become ambassadors for their community.
