Help us to help keep you safe

As your landlord we want to keep you and your home safe, and this includes carrying out periodic gas and electrical checks

The inspections don’t take long and won’t cost you a penny – all we ask is that you provide access at the specified appointment time.

Your home will receive a gas safety inspection once a year and an electrical inspection every five years. This is to check that everything is safe and in good working order, and to highlight if we need to carry out any repair work.

During the annual gas inspection, the engineer will check the gas appliances that we supply in your home are all safe and in good working order. For example, checking the gas boiler and radiators are working efficiently, which is really important considering the rising cost of energy prices.

At the five-yearly electrical inspection, the certified electrician will check for any potential electrical issues with things like the wiring, light fittings, fuse boxes, and power sockets in your home.

We will write to you with details of when the engineer will visit your property. Please make sure you are in (or arrange for someone else to be there) in order to allow access. If no one is in when the engineer calls, we have to return on another day which wastes valuable time and money for everyone.

If you need to rearrange the date or time just get in touch and we can easily re-book your appointment for more convenient time.

To rearrange your:

We can offer school run appointments between 9.30am and 2.30pm so you don’t have to worry about missing the engineer when you are taking or collecting children from school.

We do appreciate that sometimes unforeseen emergencies mean appointment times are missed. This is understandable, but it would really help us if you can contact us to let us know (ideally with 24 hours notice), or ask a friend or neighbour to do this on your behalf.
