Child Friendly Southampton

Southampton has joined the UK Committee for UNICEF's (UNICEF UK) national Child Friendly Cities and Communities programme

Our vision is for Southampton to be recognised as a Child Friendly City (CFC): we want all children and young people in Southampton to have a good start in life, live safely, be healthy and happy and go on to have successful opportunities in adulthood.

We will work together to create a city where all children – whether they are living in care, using a children’s centre, or simply visiting their local library – have a meaningful say in, and truly benefit from, the local decisions, services and spaces that shape their lives.
