How much will it cost to marry or form a civil partnership in Southampton?
The booking fee of £73 is payable to book any ceremony or civil partnership signing. The fee confirms the date, time and place of your ceremony or civil partnership signing and does not come off the final balance. It is a good idea to be certain about your choice, as moving your booking will mean an amendment fee of £35 will be charged.
Please remember that your legal notices of marriage or civil partnership will cost £35 each, which you will need to factor into your budget as well as the ceremony/signing fee.
The final ceremony fee is due at least three months prior to the ceremony. If the ceremony is booked less than three months ahead, the ceremony fee will be due at the time of booking the ceremony. Bookings made for registrations to take place in the Statutory Register Office Room will incur full payment at the time of booking.
The total fee taken will include the booking fee, the notice fee (if notice is being given in Southampton), any associated referral or document fees, and the ceremony fee. These fees are subject to our cancellation policy and refund conditions stated for notices of marriages and civil partnerships. The ceremony fee includes two marriage or civil partnership certificates and a commemorative certificate except Magnolia or Statutory room bookings. Venue hire fees are paid directly to the venue where appropriate.

Statutory Office marriage and civil partnership registrations
This room is limited to the couple and two adult witnesses only. This is a small working office and is designed for couples who wish to complete the legal paperwork only. There is no room for additional guests and no music or photographs are permitted.
