If you are worried about a child please contact the Children’s Resource Service (which includes the MASH) as below:

Professionals number: 023 8083 2300 (Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm and Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm. If it is the weekend, bank holiday or outside of office hours please telephone 023 8023 3344.

Members of the public (including young people, parents and carers) number: 023 8083 3004 (Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm) or 023 8023 3344 (weekends, Bank Holidays and outside of office hours). Practitioners who make a referral should always follow up their concerns if they are not satisfied with the response (Source: Working Together 2018)

Practitioners may also wish to refer to the HIPS (Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton Partnership) Joint Working Protocol for professional challenge and resolution of professional disagreement (Escalation Protocol).
