As a council, we are working towards being a city that generates jobs with good pay and progression prospects, improving the quality of work and the working environment. Leadership and management play a big part in this.
The Future of Work programme is an evolution of our Wellbeing@Work project and in direct response to the Government’s Good Work Plan. This recognises the link between workplace wellbeing and productivity, and uses these insights to form a solution based on the Institute for the Future of Work’s Good Work Charter.
Testlands Hub is developing a platform - partnering with and seeded by Southampton City Council - to help employers assess ‘Good Work’ across a range of indicators to enable positive change in the workplace through:
- actionable data insights
- methods to improve employer/employee performance
- automating routes to achieve accreditation from a range of professional bodies
