Draft Hampshire Minerals and Waste Plan Partial Update

Jointly produced with Hampshire County Council, Portsmouth City Council, New Forest National Park Authority and South Downs National Park Authority, the Hampshire Minerals and Waste Plan Partial Update provides for a steady supply of minerals to meet the demands to build, for example, new homes, roads, schools, and hospitals. It identifies sites for waste management facilities, so that the millions of tonnes of waste generated in the area can be processed whilst increasing recycling rates and reducing landfill and ensures new minerals and waste facilities protect the environment, local communities, and address climate change.
