Port Health Services
Southampton Port Health Services is responsible for carrying out all the statutory functions of the Port Health Authority in Southampton sea port and airport.
We monitor over 1.2 million TEU (Twenty Equivalent Unit) container movements of cargo, over 79,000 shipping movements and 170 cruise ship arrivals annually, and have diverse environmental health control functions. We are a 24 hour/365 days a year service and operate from City Depot in Southampton. Our statutory boundary encompasses:
- Southampton Water
- East and West Solent
- The Eastern Docks base for transatlantic liner operations, Western Docks
- The Container Terminals
- Marchwood Military Port
- Marine Oil Terminals at Fawley
- Hamble Grain Terminals, river wharfs and the city airport
PHILIS online facility
Southampton Port Health now accept PDD documents through the PHILIS online facility. Please note that we require the signed documents emailed to us at port.health@southampton.gov.uk
