Millbrook Cemetery

News - 5 August 2022

We have been made aware that The Holy Trinity Church, situated in front of Millbrook Cemetery, is in the process of being sold. We wish to confirm to all cemetery visitors and grave owners that Millbrook Cemetery is owned by Southampton City Council and is not associated with Holy Trinity Church. Therefore Millbrook Cemetery will continue to operate and be maintained by the Council’s Bereavement Services operatives.

Millbrook Cemetery

This cemetery lies to the north of Southampton town centre, and is open 24 hours a day, every day. It can accommodate both new and reopened graves, and is situated behind the dramatic gothic style Holy Trinity Church.

History of Milbrook Cemetery

The first burial to take place at Millbrook Cemetery (known then as Millbrook Parish Council Burial Ground) was on the 27 February 1909. Southampton City Council took ownership of the cemetery in 1954.
