Tenant Satisfaction Measures briefing session Monday 11 September 1.30pm-2.30pm Online Discover the Tenant Satisfaction Measures which will enable tenants to compare landlords nationally.
Finding your way around the council's website Friday 15 September 10.30am-12.30pm Civic Centre In this session we will show you where to find all that useful information on the council’s website, including how to report a repair, find out the latest news in Tenants’ Link and lots more besides.
Avoiding online scams Thursday 21 September 2pm-4pm Civic Centre Love the internet but worried about scams? This course will help you spot those pesky internet scams to avoid you becoming their next victim.
Committee skills Tuesday 26 September 6.30pm-8.30pm Civic Centre As a group of volunteers, a committee can achieve great things, but working as a team isn’t always easy. This course will look at the different roles of the committee enabling you to achieve more!

Making a complaint information session Wednesday 4 October 6pm-7pm Online When things go wrong you have the right to raise things as a formal complaint. Find out about how the council’s complaint process works, how to raise them and how the council can learn from them too.
Minute taking Thursday 5 October 10.30am-12.30pm Civic Centre Taking the official record of a meeting can be a daunting experience – but it really needn’t be! Minutes are important as a record of what’s been decided and who is going to do what. Come along and find out how simple they can be.
Basic chairing skills Friday 6 October 10.30am-12.30pm Challis Court, Holyrood Meetings are a great way to share ideas and get everyone’s views but trying to enable to allow everyone to have their say is easier said than done. This course will give you the skills to successfully run a meeting and stay in control!
How your rent is spent Tuesday 10 October 10.30am-1pm Challis Court, Holyrood An opportunity to learn how your rent money is managed and spent. We also look into how changes in government policy can have a big impact on the amount of money available to spend on services.
Accessing funding Monday 16 October 10am-12noon Civic Centre Tenant Associations and other constituted community groups can apply to organisations for money for trips, equipment and events to improve their area. This course looks at some of the grants available and how to improve your chances of being successful.

Understanding performance information Friday 3 November 10am-1pm Civic Centre The council is required to provide lots of performance information to residents so they can see how well we are performing. This session will give you a better understanding of performance information and how this can lead to tenants getting better services.
Asking better questions Thursday 9 November 10.30am-1pm Civic Centre Asking the right questions is key to helping you hold the council to account. This fun and informal training course will give you the skills to ask those tricky and probing questions.
Challenging stigma of council housing (run by the Tenant Inspectors) Monday 13 November 10am-12noon Civic Centre Sometimes people make assumptions about people living in council housing, and, sadly, those assumptions can be quite unpleasant and no where near the truth. Following their in depth report, the Tenant Inspectors are keen to share with you hints and tips about how this stigma can be tackled!
