Change when you pay Council Tax instalments

You can change when and how often you pay your Council Tax instalments, such as spreading your payment over more months or changing the date when you pay.

Spreading payments over 12 months

Normally your Council Tax bill is split into 10 monthly payments (instalments), payable from April to January. If you would like to change to 12 monthly instalments you can request this by contacting us. 

Amending your Council Tax payment dates

The annual charge can be paid monthly on the 1, 8, 15 or 23 of the month. If you would like to change this you will need to contact us.

We will then post a letter to confirm the arrangement within 15 working days.
